Teresa Collins Featured Fan Friday!

Hello everyone!

Today I have the honor of being featured on the Teresa Collins Design Team blog on their Featured Fan Friday.  I can't tell you how excited I am.  Be sure to visit the wonderful design team site by clicking here.

This layout features papers from Teresa's Sweet Afternoon collection.  I love the soft color palette and it works beautifully with all of my black and white photos.

I stamped a design around my circle usin the Chic Be'Be' Girl clear stamp set.  This is one of my all time favorite sets and I use the flourishes quite often.  You will notice that in between each stamped design is a single liquid pearl dot.  I used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in yellow.

I used a beautiful white flower from Teresa's Fabrications line.  I love the clean beautiful shape.  I have a collection Teresa's Giving Thanks Transparency sheets and I used the "cherish" image for my title.

"Beach" Mini Album

I created this mini gift album for my friend using the Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue collection and Zva crystals and pearls.

On the cover, I used the beautiful crystal set CR-05CA-126 - Flickering - Iridescent Crystal to frame their family photo.  I further accented the cover with ribbon, chipboard and shells.  I kept the pages of this mini relatively clean letting the crystals, pearls and photos do the talking.

On page 2, I used CR-04CA-101 - Enchanting - Clear Crystal behind my chipboard die cut.  I love this photo of her and the boys.

I just love these two pages.  I used CRS-04CB-113 - Flourish III - Olive Crysal on the right page.

I used the CR-04CB-118 - Lovely -Olive/Lime Crystal set across these two pages.  It really makes a beautiful impact when you add the crystals.

I added PEC-03CB-103 -12" Double chains Pearl - Olive to both pages.  The left page was designed as a journaling page.  This way, my friend can add her thoughts about their trip.

Here are the twins lookinig out onto the ocean.  I added a single flourish to the right page (PE-02CB-141 - Symetrical Flourish - White).

On the right page, I added CRB-03CA-113 - Long Flourish Crystal VI - Iridescent (shimmering-clear) as the focal point.  This long flourish allows you to add your own special touches while still being able to see the crystals.

I kept these pages simple and added CRW-04CB-111 - Small Flourish (A) Pearl - Soft Blue to the left page.  It mimics ocean waves and coordinates perfectly with the photo.

Don't you just hate when your vacation is over!  I saved this photo for the last page.  It's as if they are taking one last look at the ocean before heading back home.

* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.

The blog hop begins here at Zva Creative's blog. Your next stop is Christin Gronnslett. Enjoy!

Remember This Moment

Hello everyone,

Well, I can’t seem to get enough of the Tell Your Story collection from Teresa Collins.  I love this collection so much that I just went out and bought more coordinating embellishments.

Today, I have a layout to share where I used quite a bit of  my new goodies.  I also have a few techniques to share with you.  I am in the market for a stand alone video camera because my webcam can’t reach my desk since my move.

I layered the Tell Your Story paper flowers using quick dry glue.  I used a tool to curl my petals to give them a bit of dimension.  Then, I added a gorgeous rhinestone medallion to the flower center.

I used the “special moments” stamp from the collection to frame my page.  I also used this stamp on the mat for my smaller photo.
I also added two frame accents to my page using the beautiful ornate frame stamp.  This is a great way to customize a page.

I used Teresa Collins Blingage Alphabet to stamp my title onto vellum.

I used a circular stitching template to create a hand stitched circle using baker’s twine.

Love the Everyday

Hello everyone!

Well, it's the start of another beautiful week.  Today I have a card to share with you which features the lovely Everyday Moments collection by Teresa Collins.

I love the die cut found in this collection, especially the design I used for the focal point of the card.  I matted it on a die cut I created using the Fleur de Lis Motifs die from Spellbinders.

I scraplifted from myself with this card design.  I created this card using Webster's Pages and I just loved the way it turned out.  I really love the blue and yellow color combo.

Seek Joy - Altered Mini Clipboard

Hello everyone!

Well, I was so excited about how the first clipboard turned out that I decided to make another one.

I painted the clipboard using Antique White acrylic paint.  Once dry, I added my patterned paper  (Bo Bunny Country Garden Collection) and began layering my flowers and other embellishments.  The chipboard flourish is from Want2Scrap and I added gold pearl drops using my Viva Decor pearl pen.

Here you can see the Zva Creative crystals (CRW-05CA-146 Symmetrical Flourishes - Champagne Crystal) and lovely little flowers.

Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today.

Exciting News! Creating Keepsakes

Just a quick note!

I am so honored to have one of my layouts published in the September/October issue of Creating Keepsakes.  I created a steampunk themed page featuring Graphic 45's Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection and I hope you like it.  You can find it on page 71.

The new issue hit stores this week and I can't wait to see it and all of the wonderful projects inside!  I'm off to pick up a few copies for my family.

Everyday Life Mini Album

Hello everyone!

I have a mini to share with you today.  I used the Everyday Moments collection from Teresa Collins to create this sweet everyday mini.  I used Zva Creative pearls throughout the book to touches of elegance here and there.

The mini book is from Pink Paislee and has been in my stash for quite a while.

Here you can see the Zva pearl flourish I used to accent the lovely curves of my embellishment.

This is the inside of the mini.  I used banner stickers and a beautiful soft yellow paper for the inside cover of the book.  The first page has a beautiful chipboard flourish from Want 2 Scrap which I painted white.  I added a line of Zva Creative pearls to the top of my page.

I made matching pockets for the next two pages.  I slipped journaling tags into the pockets and add big, beautiful flowers to the outter edges of the page.

Here is a close up of the pockets.  I added a chipboard flourish from Imaginarium Designs to the top of each tag to make it easier to pull out of the pocket.

I added lots of pretty pearls to both pages.  This is where you can add photos as well as journaling.

I left more space for photos on the next two pages along with a small journaling page.

I created another pocket using the flower images from the collection.

Here is a close up of the tag and pocket.

Sadly we have come to the end of the book.  I hope you enjoyed taking a peek inside of the pages.
